Documentary on Clean and Green City project released
Fr Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil (Principal, MACFAST) releasing a Clean and Green Tiruvalla Video documentary by handing over to the Municipal Chairperson, LInda Thomas Vanchippalam, at a function held at MACFAST College Auditorium in Tiruvalla.
Adding another step to Clean and Green Tiruvalla, a documentary has been releases by Rev. Fr. Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil (Principal, MACFAST) by handing over to the Municipal Chairperson Linda Thomas. It was at the MACFAST College auditorium as part of its GREEN HOUR Program organized by First batch MBA(MACMATES).
Rev. Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil(Chairman and Chief Executive, Pushpagiri Group of Institutions) was the chief guest. The documentary was developed by the Department of MCA, MACFAST. "The dream 'Green and Clean City' can be achieved only through innovative methods of awareness. These types of initiatives are the ideal model for innovative awareness and it has a significant role in shifting of people's attitude towards environment. Creating awareness among people of the importance of keeping the environment and surroundings clean and hygienic was vital in the effective implementation of any cleanliness drive, said Abraham Mulamoottil.
Fr. Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil, Principal, released a documentary on the Clean and Green City project by handing over a CD to municipal chairperson Lynda Thomas Vanchippalam on the occasion. “ We Keralites are proud about our state due to its charming beauty and diversity and called it as God’s on country. At the same time we are totally disrurbed by the menace of pollution and related problems. In this juncture, we MACFAST took it as our responsibility to enhance environmental consciousness among community and put forwarded the concept of Clean and Green Tiruvalla. Intensive awareness is the only solution to curtail pollution and related menaces. The program ‘Green School’ initiated by MACFAST made an appreciable leap in this juncture. “He said.
Addressing the meeting, K. Sudheer, municipal secretary, said ward-level awareness and screening of the documentary would be held soon as part of the environmental conservation campaign. Mrs.Sheela Varghese (Municipal Standing Committee (Health) Chairperson); Mr Paul V.Mathew (Project officer and Mr Vijith (Programme Convener), also spoke.
