Jerusalem Marthoma Church collaborating with MACFSAT

Thiruvalla Jerusalem Marthoma Church joining hands with MACFAST for the implementation Clean and Green. The project Clean Parish was launched by Rev. Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil, Chairman Pushpagiri Group of Institutions. It is human that creates wastes and lament over it. Education of people has gone up along with the advancement in Science. But the attitude of the people has not yet changed. An attitudinal shift from Not In My Backyard (NIMBY) syndrome to In My Back Yard Habit (IMBY) is the need of this hour. he remarked.


Jerusalem Marthoma church has taken a golden step by initiating a most needed project for environmental conservation. Church has set an example for all other institutions by considering a common cause. The habit of segregated collection and decentralized waste management should be taught and learned. Church can take an intense effort to propagate the message of ideal waste management model. Rev. Fr. Pradeep Vazhatharmalayil, Principal MACFSAT said. He was delivering the key note address. Sincere effort from the church members can make change in the society. By practicing waste management at the source, Marthoma Church can be emerged as a model for the people. He added.

Church authorities have decided to organize an exhibition to know about different technologies for waste management. By adapting suitable technologies, church can ensure self sufficiency in waste management. Prpogram Organize Prof. Abraham said. .
