As part of our Green and Clean City Project we the students of MACFAST have gone to different schools nearby Thiruvalla, for giving some awareness class on protection and safety of environment to students.
Our group (Alex Joseph, Gino P George, Danta Thomas & Anson Thomas) have been sent to ST. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Thiruvalla on 3rd October 2011. We reached there by 11:00 am and have got permission from the principal and the authority. We were very much anxious about how our programs will be. Then we started our programs at 11.30 am by seeking their knowledge about environment. They have expressed their views on this topic. Then we taught the meaning of environment and the need to preserve it. The students pointed some environmental issues such as Endosulfan, population, and the society view towards the environment etc.
After we included some games and quiz. Then we gave prize for the students who actively participate in this session. We concluded this session with giving advices to them about to secure our almighty’s gift Environment.
At last one of the students gave vote of thanks. We expressed our gratitude towards the authority, management, and the students who support our class. Then we collected the signature from the student by acknowledging that they will preserve the environment. After our class the teacher, and the students said that it was an informative class for them. So actually it was a great experience to us in our academic year.
